Thanks for visiting my site!
I wanted to create this website to provide a little insight on myself and my accomplishments both professionally and personally. From a personal perspective, I’m a highly passionate individual who gets along great with everyone. From films and music to theme parks and other entertainment, I’m very enthusiastic about my various passions. I also love sharing that passion with my family, friends and whoever will listen to me.
Never resting on my laurels, I am always eager to find the next project, start something new, and always willing to learn new skills. I consider myself one of the lucky people who can use both their creative and logical thinking skills to solve problems. I’m able to see several steps ahead to manage any potential hiccups down the road. After managing several small creative teams, I know that I work well in both independent and group projects. No matter what, I deliver results effectively and efficiently.
Who I Am
First and foremost I’m an independent filmmaker with expertise in 8mm, 16mm, and digital formats. I’m proficient in most editing systems, but specialize in Adobe Premiere and Audition. I love telling stories and capturing them visually. Telling a story will always be at the heart of every project I work on in one way or the other.
After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a BFA in Filmmaking, I worked for the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Not only was I fulfilling a lifetime dream to be a Disney Cast Member, but I had no idea how crucial my passion for theme parks would play in my life. This led to 3+ years of experience as a Director of Video and New Media with The DIS. Creating original video content for the internet’s largest unofficial Disney fan-site and managing the associated YouTube channel challenged my comfort zone. I went from traditional independent filmmaking to the new age of internet video content and interactivity.
I also now have 3+ years of experience in podcast production with The DIS Unplugged. This is one of the top podcasts for Disney fans focusing on theme park news and original discussions. I’ve experienced several roles from setting up audio equipment, live and recorded broadcast video equipment, set decoration, Word Press, Adobe Dream Weaver, html and xml feeds, social media management, to becoming somewhat of an internet personality and talking about my passions. I’ve always had the brain and skill set for production equipment. I now have the experience to prove my expertise in the area.
I’m creative, technical, passionate and the person who is ready to talk about and share those passions.

Director of Video and New Media, Podcast Producer
The DIS (www.wdwinfo.com) - April 2012 - September 2015
As the Director of Video and New Media I was responsible for creating original online video content. I also managed two other videographer’s content and assignments as well. Other responsibilities included managing the website’s YouTube page and creating video opportunities and projects relating to travel. I’ve created videos in the UK, France, Italy, Canada, California, Arizona, Utah, and many other US states.
As the Producer of The DIS Unplugged Podcast I built an entire broadcast studio from scratch. Assembling and maintaining radio quality audio equipment, live broadcast video equipment, lighting, and all the live streaming software associated were part of my daily responsibilities. I also traveled with the show on the road producing live audience shows in London, Honolulu, Disneyland Resort, aboard Disney and Royal Caribbean cruise ships in Alaska and the Caribbean.
The Walt Disney Company - June 2011 - March 2012
As an Attraction Host at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World Florida, you work with your team of fellow cast members to create an enjoyable and efficient ride experience for the guests. Not only was I a ride operator, but I provided outstanding customer service to the guests of the theme parks.
I was on the fast track to moving up the ladder, being offered a role as part of the training team. I never had the opportunity to accept as this happened the same week I moved to my next job.
I also worked at Walt Disney World twice before as part of their college internship program for 5 months each during 2007 and 2008.
VCU Parking & Transportation Services - August 2007 - May 2011
As Lead Cashier at Virginia Commonwealth University Parking & Transportation Services, I was in charge of a team of 9 cashiers at the schools parking garages. I started as a normal cashier during my studies, interviewed for a leadership role, and was accepted. My responsibilities included staffing assignments, assigning breaks, managing cashiers during special events, counting and depositing cash at the end of the work day. Communication was also key between the various parking deck supervisors.
Photography and Film
Virginia Commonwealth University - 2007 - 2011
I graduated Cum Laude in 2011 with a BFA in Filmmaking. My short independent and group student films were featured in the VCU Student Film Festival. In a graduating class of 10, it was difficult to stand out amongst such talented students. However, I was unanimously chosen to lead as director of our senior year group film project.
Welcome to my new online resume and portfolio! From time to time I’ll share thoughts in the form of blog posts. These posts might be about anything!
